Alaska Line Builders is an outside electrical contractor that covers a wide area of power and telecommunications work. The business was formed in May of 2005 by Charles Baird III and Steve Foster. Both have been involved in all phases of linework including but not limited to wood and steel high lines, distribution work including hot reconductor and rebuilds, all phases of underground linework, and many different types of substations. Both C.F. (Charles) and Steve have built power and communications lines all over the State of Alaska and across the United States as well as the West Indies, they have over 60 years of combined experience. Alaska Line Builders is continually expanding our workforce as well as our equipment and job opportunities.

Alaska Line Builders has three branches. They are in Fairbanks, Anchorage, and our main office in Big Lake, Alaska. In the peak of our season we have about 40 employees between the three branches, with 15 employee’s year around.

Since opening the doors in 2005 Alaska Line Builders has done work for many utility companies such as Matanuska Electric Association, Inc., Matanuska Telephone Association, Inc., Golden Valley Electric Association, Inc., Alaska Communications Systems, Chugach Electric Association, Inc., & Homer Electric Association, Inc. We have also done work for non-utility companies such as Alaska Energy Authority, CE2 Engineering, TDX Power, ASTS Incorporated, Megawatt Electric, Inc., Weldin, STG, Inc., and many more.

Alaska Line Builders has a vast array of equipment ranging from pick-up trucks to highway diggers, and bucket and boom trucks. We are always expanding our fleet as our business grows.
